What is it?
Searx is a privacy-focused search engine aggregator. On a sufficiently-provisioned instance it typically returns high-quality results. Unfortunately, Moonbeam.town is not sufficiently provisioned, so the results you get from this specific instance are less than optimal. Nevertheless, for the time being, we're maintaining the service.
What can I do with it?
In a perfect world, you could use it as a Google/StartPage/DuckDuckGo replacement. In this world, if you want to do that, you should use the main public Searx instance at https://searx.org.
How do I get started?
It's a search engine. You know how they work.
What next?
Unless I can figure out how to get the service to reliably return good results, I'll probably end up deleting it to save on resources.
A few caveats
This entire wiki is one long caveat, so I don't really have any more to add. Good luck!
