In the interest of making sure this place stays cool, we have some rules. By using the Moonbeam.town service, you are consenting to follow these rules.

The Moonbeam.town community respects its members' personhood and humanity. We won't tolerate abusive behavior. Name-calling and ball-busting done in good fun is one thing, but bullying, harassment, threats, and ad hominem attacks are no bueno and will get you a time out. Note that if someone asks you to stop doing something, or that you not treat them in a certain way, you'll respect that, or you're out.

This is addressed by Rule One, but to be explicit: you will not engage in any form of bigoted behavior against disadvantaged or oppressed groups. This includes, but is not limited to, any form of racism, sexism, anti-LGBTism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, ableism, and the like.

We're all humans living in a shitty culture and we all fall short of these ideals sometimes, but it's 2021 and we all have a pretty good idea of where the line is. If you cross it, you earn a potentially-permanent time out, and the person who was on the receiving end of your bigotry will definitely have a say in how the situation is dealt with.

Note that punching up, i.e taking the piss out of whites, men, bigots, cops, capitalists, the straights, gusanos, kulaks, colonizers, and other oppressors is explicitly permitted.

You don't have to be a leftist to hang here, but we're not going to put up with liberal bootlicky bullshit. Don't post pro-cop, pro-United States, pro-imperial, or pro-capitalist content here. We don't want to see it, it's not what we're about.

Full disclosure, the admin of this server is a Marxist-Leninist, so anti-Marxist, anti-China, anti-Cuba, or anti-DPRK propaganda falls under the heading of “pro-imperial.” Robust debate is permitted but you'll want to page through r/communism101 before you show us your ass.

Don't post untagged erotic or sexual material on public channels. Don't post sexual imagery involving minors at all or that's a permanent time-out, no second chances.

This server is hosted in France, so don't post anything the French government has deemed illegal. If I catch even the slightest bit of legal heat for running this service, it's going away forever.

We respect each other's privacy here. Don't share any personal information you might learn about other members outside town, don't share photos people post without their explicit permission, don't doxx other members, don't share private conversations. Respect each other's privacy or you can't hang here.

If you're a Nazi, bigot, bootlicker, bully, or abuser, you no longer enjoy the protections of Law Six. In fact, you no longer enjoy any protection at all. If you represent an overt threat to a marginalized community, it's our duty to make it known.
