What is it?

Calibre is the premiere open-source ebook manager, allowing you to read, organize, and convert your ebooks. This is an online version of that, a shared digital library representing the interests of the citizens of Moonbeam.town.

What can I do with it?

The most obvious thing you can do is read any of the books that have been uploaded. You can also upload your own books, download any of the uploaded books, create your own collections (“Shelves”), and convert between formats.

How do I get started?

As Moonbeam.town services go, Calibre is fairly uncomplicated – simply log in using your Moonbeam.town credentials and you'll be presented with a virtual library.

What next?

Have fun! Browse through the various Shelves, read what looks interesting. If you're feeling generous you can upload your own books or create your own Shelves with the existing content.

A few caveats

There are a few audio files in the library but in general it's better to upload those to the shared media folder in Nextcloud.

PDF and MOBI format are supported but the preferred upload format is EPUB and CBZ (for comics). If possible, convert your media to one of those formats before uploading.
